This is a completely refurbished Air Conditioned one bedroom loft apartment (530 Sq. Ft., Sleeps 6) on the ground floor of a small, well maintained, 17th century building in the old district of Saint Germain des Pres – just in the center of Paris on the Left Bank. This location is mid-way between the Rue Buci food market and the Place Saint Michel, three blocks in each direction. It is also mid-way between the Seine River and the Blvd Saint Germain. From here you have an easy walk to the Jardins du Luxembourg, the Sorbonne, the Place St. Michel, the Notre Dame Cathedral on the Ile de la Cite, and the Ile Saint Louis.
This apartment is divided into two levels. The apartment is accessed from a courtyard and the entry landing immediately splits into stairs going up to the sleeping loft and down to the main room with stone walls and open ceiling beams. The top level (the “Loft”) has a bed room with a double bed and an extra “chair bed” that can extend to sleep another person. The first bathroom is on the loft level and has a walk-in shower, basin, and toilet.
The lower level is the main Salon, equipped with a Queen size sofa bed and another “chair bed” that can be used as a single bed when extended, and some antiques. Equipment includes Cable TV and Stereo (no DSL Internet access). The open style kitchen on the lower level is fully equipped and has a built-in dining area with table and side benches. It has a refrigerator, combo convection/Microwave oven and Dishwasher. The second bathroom on the lower level has a full bathtub w/wall shower, an additional walk-in shower, a basin, and a toilet.
