This is a very large 2 bedroom apartment (2,000 sq. ft., sleeps 5) on the left bank of Paris in the Saint Germain de Pres area (6th arrondissement) that is located in a renovated building with digicode entry system and intercom. The apartment is on the top floor of the building on the 6th French floor (7th American floor) with an elevator up to the 6th floor and a private staircase to the 7th.
This apartment has been completely renovated and is luxurious. There is an entry room with a veranda where there is table for breakfast, and a sitting area w/sofa for tea.
The large living room area has exposed original beams in the walls and overhead and Tudor style wooden beams and warm reddish earth-toned plaster walls. The floors are earth toned tiles with a mixture of area rugs. The ceilings have been opened up to follow the roof angles and thus providing a sense of openness and spaciousness.
The main salon is furnished with sofas, comfortable easy chairs, large coffee table, a desk, and an eclectic assortment of wicker furniture, iron tables, plants, etc. One end wall has a large built-in bookcase and a large fire place that actually works! There is also a dining area with dining table. This main salon extends across the building so there are windows both on the street and on the interior courtyard (4 windows).
The very modern kitchen is completely equipped with modern appliances and has a large double window that opens to a small balcony with railing that has plants.
The Master Bedroom has a large French Double bed and its own bathroom (bathtub with shower) on the courtyard side and a toilet with wash basin in a separate enclosure.
The Second Bedroom has a Queen size bed and an additional separate single bed. There is an adjoining bathroom with shower and a sink.
There is a French "Bureau" (office area) and a separate Dressing room.
