This is a very sunny one bedroom apartment (500 sq. ft., sleeps 3 to 4) located on the 5th American floor (with elevator) in the heart of the Saint Germain des Pres district (7th arrondissement) on the Left Bank. It was completely refurbished in 2003. This sunny apartment extends the depth of the building with windows on both East and West sides. Car parking is not allowed on the small street so it is especially quiet at night.
The long main living room has one window overlooking a large private garden park and another, at the other end, overlooking a private courtyard. The West side window provides a view the sunsets, and of the upper portion of the Eiffel Tower beyond the large garden park.
The apartment has polished wood floors, high ceilings, deep moldings, and a traditional fireplace (sealed). The furnishings are a combination of comfortable contemporary and classic pieces. The sofa-bed in the living room is suitable for two children or one adult. There is a Mac computer with Wi-Fi and unlimited DSL access, a Stereo, and Cable TV with BBC, CNN, and CNBC.
The bedroom has a Queen size bed and full size built in wall closet. The bedroom window overlooks a large private garden.
The modern, open plan, kitchen is fully equipped with a combination microwave and oven, cooktop, refrigerator, dishwasher, clothes washer and dryer, and a juicer. It opens onto a dining area with table and chairs for four.
The bathroom has a basin, toilet, heated towel rack, and full bathtub with wall shower. There is an iron, ironing board, and hair dryer.
