APARTMENT LOCATION

This is a true family style apartment deep in the Montparnasse district on the Left Bank in Paris. Rue de Gergovie is featured on the walkers guide to the Montparnasse district as a typical residential neighborhood characteristic of Montparnasse. Located on a small quiet street, yet still convenient, it is only a few minutes walk to the metro and just a block away from a few necessary shops, while being peaceful and serene. You can walk to the central Montparnasse area and also to the renowned rue Daguerre fresh food Market Street. It is un quartier tres typique de la vie Parisienne. Access to Paris Metro is an easy walk: Pernety (4 minutes), Plaisance (4 minutes), and Alesia (8 minutes). Bus Lines in this neighborhood include: 62, 58, 88, 95 and 91.

APARTMENT DESCRIPTION

This large apartment (890 Sq. Ft, Sleeps 6) has two bedrooms and one bath (with separate toilet), a working fireplace, and a small private patio. It is set up for casual but completely comfortable accommodations in a family style. The very large living room has comfortable and casual furnishings with a double sofa-bed, and a long dining table (seating for 6 with extra chairs). Equipment includes Cable TV with English channels and DVD player, Stereo, DSL Internet access, and plenty of books.

The Master bedroom on the main floor level has a large French double bed, a double wash basin, and direct access to the bathroom.

The second bedroom is downstairs (the cave) and it has a double "trundle" bed that can be used with both mattresses together as a single double bed or have one mattress placed on the floor so it is used as two single beds. There is also a desk with chair and an easy chair. Caution must be taken with infants and toddlers as the stone stairs are unguarded.

The galley type kitchen has a refrigerator w/freezer, an electric cook-top with 4 burners, and a combo convection andÂ Microwave oven, and a combo clothes washer/dryer.

The bathroom has a full size sunken bathtub with wall shower located in a greenhouse style addition to the back (private but sunny). The toilet and a small basin is in a separate enclosure.
