It ís on Lalande Street which crosses the lovely daily open-air market on Daguerre street (a street for pedestrians only), which, in turn, connects with the popular shopping street Avenue General Leclerc. It is on the border of the Latin Quarter and only one metro stop away from the Luxembourg Gardens and the Sorbonne University.
This charming area of the City will delight those of you researching the authentically Parisian neighborhood. In the 1920's, this neighborhood became the adoptive area for American "expats" who were escaping prohibition and enjoying Paris creative life. Americans were attracted by the artistic explosion of this period. Man Ray, Calder, and Hemingway, to name a few, chose to settle in this spot. The artists have since gone but this location, one of the few remaining truly Parisian areas, has many secret places left to discover.
This very peaceful one bedroom apartment looks onto a courtyard and is located on the ground floor by a quiet street. The living area is furnished with a table and chairs, a sofa bed for one person, an additional separate single bed, TV, and a telephone. The bedroom includes a bed for two persons, dresser, desk, armchair, and closet. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, stove and an oven (and of course coffee-machine, toaster, etc).
The bathroom has a sink, combination tub w/shower, and a toilet.
