This one bedroom apartment is just around the corner from the famous Marche Daguerre - a pedestrian street entirely devoted to gastronomic pleasures! Bakers, cheese and regional specialty stores, restaurants, all buzz with locals, while others just watch the world go by from sidewalk cafes. The area used to be, and still is, a haunt of that particular species - the Parisian intellectual, as well as jazz musicians and bohemians.
Two direct metro lines will take you in 15 minutes or less to the Quartier Latin, Boulevard St. Michel, Ile de la Cite, Notre Dame, the Conciergerie and much more. There is also a direct bus line to the Musee d�Orsay and a RER line to both airports; a real Parisian quartier, near to everything!
This apartment is in a late 19th Century building straddling an arched entrance, from which you take a typically small Parisian elevator to the 5th floor. This is a traditional airy three room apartment (approx. 500 sq. ft.) with rooftop views and lots of sun. It is warm and welcoming, offers comfortable modern furnishings, polished parquet floors throughout, and two decorative fire-places (not in use).
All rooms are off a central hall. Tall double glazed windows face east onto the Avenue General Leclerc. There is a Cable TV in the living/dining room, a separate sitting room has a comfortable double sofa bed, and can be used as a full time bedroom. The main bedroom, which overlooks the courtyard, has a queen size bed. There is an excellent modern bathroom with a tub with shower attachment; the toilet is separate. The modern kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine.
The apartment has gas central heating.
