This is a wonderfully elegant and sophisticated apartment in a well kept 19th Century building in the Marais district. Its an easy walk to the Place des Vosges, the Picasso Museum, the Musee Carnavalet, the National Archives, the Pompidou Centre, and the Chatelet/Less Halles district at the edge of the Seine. Rue Rambuteau, very close, is alive with cafes and specialty food shops and its close to the boutiques on the Rue des Francs Bourgeois.

The apartment is on the 7th American floor (w/elevator to 6th floor and one flight of stairs to the 7th floor) right under the roof with a great panoramic view over the Paris roof-tops to the Pompidou Centre, the Sacre Coeur Cathedral in Montmartre, the top of the Eiffel Tower, and the evening sunsets.

This is an open-plan 1 bedroom apartment (550 sq. ft., sleeps 2) renovated and furnished to a high standard, spacious, and full of light. The main salon has a direct view to the Sacre Coeur Cathedral from the double sofa-bed, a dining table with four upholstered chairs, polished parquet floor, and area rugs. A wonderful tapestry is mounted on the wall over the dining area.

At one end a wall provides visual concealment of the Bedroom area with double bed on the left side and a small study with desk and cupboards to the right side. There is an open plan kitchen area with divider bar, 2 gas cook-top elements, electric oven, refrigerator, and a microwave. The modern bathroom has a walk-in shower, basin, and a clothes washing machine. The toilet is in a separate enclosure.
