This modern refurbished two bedroom apartment (605 Sq. Ft, Sleeps 6), on the 4th and 5th floors (with no elevator), is on a small pedestrian street just one block from the plaza in front of the Georges Pompidou Centre. Located close to the very center of Paris on the Right Bank, it’s very quiet, although in one of the most animated areas of the city, with lots of Cafes, shops, food stores, and restaurants in the immediate area. From here you have an easy walk deeper into the Marais, Chatelet, Les Halles, and to the Seine River and the Ile Saint Louis and the Ile de la Cite with the Notre Dame Cathedral. The apartment overlooks a courtyard of a 15th century building. The stairway is typical of that period and is historically classified and preserved.
This two level “Duplex” apartment, spread over two floors, has been entirely renovated with modern appliances and furnishings. The entrance opens onto the modern kitchen with table w/chairs for dining. The kitchen area has a full size refrigerator, conventional oven, gas cook-top, Microwave oven, Dishwasher, and clothes Washing Machine and Dryer. This then leads to a Salon that has a desk under the stairs and a double sofa bed. Equipment includes a large flat panel TV, Stereo, and Internet access with Wi-Fi… but no telephone so you will need your own cell phone while staying in this apartment. Additionally, caution must be exercised when using the interior stairs to the second floor under the roof as there is no handrail. This makes this apartment not ideal for the elderly and for families with small children.
The first bedroom is on the main floor and is accessed directly from the Salon area. It has a Queen size bed and a large window. The Salon has a set of stairs that will take you to the top level bedroom under the roof where you will find another Queen size bed… and views over the rooftops.
The bath room is equipped with a basin and a large walk-in shower and is accessible independently. The toilet is separate.
