This modern one bedroom apartment, situated in the Marais district, is just steps away from the Picasso and Carnavalet Museums, the Bastille Opera, Ile St Louis, Notre Dame and Ile de la Cite. Much of the Marais area dates from the 16th and 17th centuries, featuring narrow streets, fine architecture, boutiques, antique shops, restaurants, and cafes. The centerpiece is, of course, the Place des Vosges with its 17th century architecture.

APARTMENT DESCRIPTION

Its arcaded facede is set around a central park with trees and benches - great for a picnic lunch! Easy walking distance to the Picasso and Carnavalet Museums, Bastille Opera, Ile St. Louis, Notre Dame, Ile de la Cite and much more! Nearby on the rue St. Antoine is a wonderful selection of specialist food shops (baker, deli, cheese, fish, wine and more) in the very best French tradition!

Narrow stairs lead to this 3rd floor apartment in a typical old Marais building, in the 4th arrondissement overlooking a narrow cobbled courtyard with loads of character, and protected from street noises. Five minutes walk from the Place de Vosges, sidewalk cafe and all the boutiques and restaurants so characteristic of the Marais.

The apartment is some 500 sq. ft. in size and has retained its character and charm throughout its renovations. All rooms are off the small entrance hall, the living room with beautifully exposed old beams, a high quality double sofa bed (new in 2006), dining furniture, and TV. A small bedroom with twin beds, that can be combined to make a wide double, overlooks the cobbled courtyard.

The eat-in kitchen is well equipped and has a washing machine and dishwasher. The bathroom has a bathtub w/wall shower. The toilet is separate. The apartment has electric radiators.
