This apartment is located in the Montorgueil - Saint Denis district in the 2nd arrondissement of Paris in the old Montorgueil quarter, about a block from the Etienne Marcel metro (on the side away from Les Halles). The narrow streets are closed to traffic, giving the district an ambiance of village life in the very center of Paris. Rue Tiquetonne alone has many restaurants and cafes, and the wonderful Rue Montorgueil is close by. It's a short walk to Chatelet, Les Halles, the Georges Pompidou Center, the Marais district, and the Louvre. This apartment was completely renovated and refurbished in 2003 with hardwood floors and Afghan rugs throughout.
You will enjoy the street views from the 5th floor, with elevator, location. Three windows overlook the street and one window in the bedroom looks out over a courtyard. The exposed original beams add to the feeling of warmth and coziness. A special feature of this accommodation is a working fireplace. The furniture is brand new in 2003 with a leather couch that opens to a queen-size extra bed, two matching leather chairs, high speed DSL Internet connection, CD/tape player, and Cable TV with CNN.
