This is a beautiful, dramatic apartment on the Left Bank of Paris on the Boulevard St. Germain by Rue St. Jacques in the Latin Quarter (5th arrondissement). This area abounds with shops, restaurants and there are Internet Cafes as well. The banks of the Seine, the Ile Saint Louis, the Ile de la Cite, Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Saint Germain des Pres district are all within an easy stroll.
Located on the 7th floor (with elevator) of a beautiful building right at the corner of the Blvd. St. Germain and the rue St. Jacques, this apartment high above the street activity has triple light exposure and views over Paris. It is fully renovated with unusually striking design and has an interesting collection of large framed ëfin de siecleí French art pieces on the walls. The large living room and dining area have beautiful hardwood floors and wonderful light, getting the sun for most of the day. The double-glazed windows minimize the city sounds. The living room has a double sofa-bed/couch, two rattan easy chairs, a small writing desk with chair, and coffee table. The dining area is furnished with a table with six chairs. There is also a telephone, cable TV, Stereo hi-fi, DVD player, and full domestic equipment (hair dryer, vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board, etc.).
The modern designer kitchen is all new and is fully tiled with refrigerator, combination oven/microwave/grill, four gas burners, sink, dishwasher, clothes washer/dryer, and plenty of cupboard space.
The main bedroom has a king size bed, built in bookshelves, an en suite shower, and a separate toilet. The second bedroom has two single beds that can be put together to make one large double bed. There is an additional separate fully tiled bathroom with a tub w/shower, basin, and toilet. A portable air conditioning unit in the bedroom area can cool the apartment during the hotter months.
