This compact efficiency apartment is centrally located in the Eiffel Tower district, the 15th arrondissement where it meets the 7th, between Avenue de Breteuil and Avenue Segur. This borders the area of Invalides where buildings and roadways are on a monumental scale. From the sprawling 18th century buildings of the Ecole Militaire, the Parc du Champs de Mars stretches down to the Eiffel Tower and on to the Seine. The avenues around the Tower are lined with luxurious buildings, some in the Art Nouveau style, and numerous embassies. It is a 10 min. walk to the Champ de Mars and the Eiffel Tower. It is just a 5 min. walk from UNESCO.
The apartment - upgraded and remodeled in 2002 - is situated on the ground floor of a 20th century ěHausmanianî building with resident concierge. The main entrance gate is protected by a security system and an intercom. It is very sunny, quiet, and features high ceilings and classic parquet floors. The windows are double-glazed with manual shutters. The living room has a sofa bed (sleeps 2), antique fireplace (closed) with wall mirror, and a dining area with a table and four chairs. There is Cable TV w/VCR, stereo, phone, and Cable high speed DSL Internet access - you need only bring your own notebook computer.
The small efficiency kitchen is in a corner of the main room. It has an under-counter refrigerator w/freezer, two cooking elements, oven, microwave, clothes washer/dryer, toaster oven, toaster, coffee pot, modern exhaust fan, and garbage disposal. Dishes and cooking setup is for six people.
The bedroom has a double bed with footboard. There is also an antique chair, wardrobe, and classic decorative fireplace (closed).
The modern, completely tiled, bathroom has a full tub w/wall mounted shower and basin w/mirror. The toilet is in a separate room.
